The SEAFUEL project, co-financed by the 2014-2020 INTERREG Atlantic Area programme, will participate in the second edition of the Equinoccio festival, an event organized by the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with the collaboration of the Island’s Government – Cabildo de Tenerife -, which will take place this Saturday, between 12:00 and 16:00, in the coastal strip of Añaza (Tenerife).

This initiative, which fundamental objective is to strengthen the environmental awareness of citizens, has the collaboration of the Sustainability and Volunteering Area of Cabildo de Tenerife and of several environmental and cultural entities.

The festival’s program includes four hours of environmental workshops, aquatic and artistic activities for the whole family, under the common denominator of environmental protection.

The Spanish partners of the project, the Tenerife Energy Agency (AIET) and the Institute of Technology and Renewable Energies (ITER) will participate with a SEAFUEL stand where they will carry out H2 demonstration workshops. The H2 demonstration workshops will be developed using small models that show the fuel cell technology, how hydrogen can be produced with renewable energies and its application for electric energy production or transport.

The participation of SEAFUEL project in this awareness event in Tenerife is part of its dissemination and communication plan that aims to promote the project and increase awareness and public acceptance of the hydrogen technology.

Equinoccio festival involves a large number of entities and companies such as Ecoocéanos Terramare, Asociación Atina, SEO BirdLife, Civil Protection of Santa Cruz, La Guinda, Neotrópico Foundation, Cohesion Factory, DISA Foundation, Ecoembes, EMMASA, Fuentealta and the Cooperative FAST.
