ITER and AIET will present the project in this webinar, organised by Cátedra de Economía y Movilidad CajaCanarias ULL and Turismo de Tenerife, which will take place on 22 June.

The SEAFUEL project has been invited to participate in the event “Innovation in sustainable mobility”, University Extension Activity organized by the Chair of Economics and Mobility CajaCanarias ULL and Tourism of Tenerife, to be held in online mode on 22 June 2021, from 16:00 – 17:00 hours (Canary Islands), within the framework of “Seminarios Intercátedras 2020/2021”.

The SEAFUEL project will be presented in this virtual event by the project partners in the Canary Islands, the Instituto Tecnológico y de Energías Renovables and the Agencia Insular de Energía de Tenerife, who will also participate in the debate and subsequent round of questions.

The aim of this online session is to present several innovative initiatives in Tenerife that work in line with SDG 9 ‘Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure’; as well as to know some of the research work currently being carried out at the University of La Laguna in this field.

SDG 9 aims, among others, to build resilient infrastructures and foster innovation. One of its goals is to develop reliable, sustainable, resilient and quality infrastructures to support economic development and human well-being. It also aims to foster innovation, and to achieve some of the SDG targets, mobility is an essential cross-cutting objective.

Together with the SEAFUEL project partners, 3 other professionals from the sector will present their respective projects and explain how they can help to achieve resilient infrastructures. At the same time, the webinar aims to inform and inspire the island’s business fabric to integrate sustainable mobility into their policies and business models.

Programme of Presentations:

– Rosa Marina González Marrero. Director of the Chair of Economy and Mobility CajaCanarias ULL.

– José María Pérez Hernández. Founder of Fun Bike Adventures, an active and adventure tourism company.

– Elena Llarena García. Expert in renewable energy projects and water technology at ITER, she leads the technical part of the SEAFUEL project. Marta Hernández-Abad. Dissemination Technician of the Tenerife Energy Agency.
