With the participation of the project in these two initiatives, the aim is to disseminate the research activity developed within the framework of the project in a playful way.

The European project SEAUFUEL is once again participating in a new edition of the Science and Innovation Weeks in the Canary Islands promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands and the European Quality Week in Tenerife promoted by the Cabildo of Tenerife.

SEAFUEL will participate in these events, together with its partners in the Canary Islands, the Instituto Tecnológico y de Energías Renovables (ITER) and the Agencia Insular de Energía de Tenerife (AIET), with the virtual activity “Escape Room: The secret SEAFUEL laboratory”, the project’s escape room, which has been designed by the Agencia Insular de Energía de Tenerife (AIET) with the aim of continuing the project’s communication and awareness-raising work, providing a complementary activity of a playful nature that brings this technology closer to the student mass.

This activity will take place on Thursday 11 November from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in online format through the Google Meet Platform and to participate, prior registration is required through the following form: https://forms.gle/W3eGUvjL9YCRnqjq9

Participants in this virtual Escape Room will have the mission to steal a prototype created in the secret facilities of the SEAFUEL project and thus save the planet. To do so, they will have to find the hidden clues and pass the tests while familiarising themselves with the basic concepts related to the use of hydrogen as an alternative fuel for transport.

The SEAFUEL project also participates in the European Quality Week in Tenerife with a Poster / Panel about the project in the SDG Action Panel of this initiative, having been recognised as a project that contributes to the achievement of the SDGs (goal 7). This Panel of Actions aims to disseminate experiences, good practices, projects, initiatives and ideas related to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, promoted by companies and organisations on the island.

The Canary Islands Science and Innovation Weeks 2021, which will be held from 3 to 14 November 2021, are promoted by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Canary Islands Government through the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society (ACIISI). All the information about the activities is available at: http://www.cienciacanaria.es/semanas/

The European Quality Week in Tenerife is an initiative of the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife which is coordinated by the Centro Insular de Calidad y Consumo Responsable (Island Centre for Quality and Responsible Consumption) belonging to the Department of Employment, Economic Development and External Action of the Cabildo de Tenerife. This edition is held under the slogan “Passing the next frontier with quality” and, in addition to addressing the importance of quality for Tenerife, the Week will highlight the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, which seek to achieve goals that aim to improve the world we live in, such as promoting sustainable production and consumption or ensuring the protection of our planet.
